• Confirm the venue independently.
• Read refund, weather, supervision and emergency policies.
• Ask whether coaches are confirmed, expected or invited.
• Treat guaranteed-exposure claims as warning signs.

Questions to ask before you commit

Who operates the opportunity? Is the venue confirmed? What will the athlete actually receive? What happens if travel, weather, staffing or coach attendance changes? What supervision, medical and emergency procedures are in place? Keep written records and independently verify important claims.

Keep the decision athlete-centered

Consider development value, health, academics, family budget and realistic fit together. A camp, showcase, trainer or marketing opportunity should never be treated as a guaranteed path to recruitment, ranking, an offer or a scholarship.
